I thought we were closed- lets chop some wood first.

Here a problem.
It's a two-part question:
1. If I had a piece of wood 8 feet long and I cut it in half, and if I cut the two pieces I then have in half, and if I then cut all the pieces into half again, how many pieces would I have?
2. How long will each of the pieces be?

Win a Mars Bar! (No, seriously.)
